Ansys Technology Day Slovenia 2026 – Highlights
On April 15, 2026, Ansys part of Synopsys Technology Day Slovenia brought together the engineering community at Iskra Mehanizmi in Brnik for a full day of knowledge exchange, innovation, and networking.
Continuing the tradition of Ansys Technology Days, this year’s event once again proved to be a valuable platform where industry professionals, researchers, and simulation experts connect to share ideas, experiences, and the latest technological advancements.
Exploring the Future: Digital Twins and Advanced Simulation
This year’s central theme, Digital Twin technology, highlighted how modern engineering is evolving through Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) approaches.
Participants explored a wide range of applications, including:
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
-
Electronics simulation
These technologies enable engineers to perform robust analysis and optimization, facilitate rapid design exploration, and achieve performance optimization, cost efficiency, and risk reduction.
With advanced capabilities and unparalleled accuracy and performance, simulation tools help companies reduce design iterations, accelerate development cycles, and achieve superior product quality.
Their case studies demonstrated how simulation is used to reduce costs, improve time-to-market, and increase product reliability, while enhancing product durability and efficiency across various applications.
Expert Insights and Real-World Applications
A highlight of the event was the presentation by Mark Bate and Raja Badrinarayanan (Synopsys), who shared how Digital Twins are transforming industries by enabling robust analysis and optimization and supporting rapid prototyping, validation, and optimization.
Participants also gained valuable insights from industry experts:
- Miša Oblak (Kolektor Etra)
- Matic Arh (Gorenje)
- Katarina Medved & Kristjan Vermiglio (FPM TECH)
- Martin Knez (Isokon)
- Andraž Rihar (University of Ljubljana)
Their case studies demonstrated how simulation is used to reduce costs, improve time-to-market, and increase product reliability, while enhancing product durability and efficiency across various applications.
Introducing Mixys - Innovation by Simtec
One of the key highlights of the event was the introduction of Mixys, a cutting-edge web application currently under development by the Simtec team.
It will transform the way industries approach mixing system design and optimization. In industries like food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics, paint, fertilizers and construction, efficient mixing is crucial but traditionally, defining the ideal setup takes too much time, energy, and resources.
MIXYS will be an advanced web-based simulation platform that will leverage AI, Reduced Order Models (ROMs), and cloud computing. MIXYS will deliver fast, optimized results with minimal effort even for users without expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
With comprehensive simulation capabilities, organizations can accelerate development cycles, reduce costs, and achieve superior product quality, ultimately leading to faster time-to-market and superior product performance.

Simulation-Driven Engineering for Better Products
Throughout the event, it became clear that modern engineering simulation and engineering consulting play a crucial role in helping companies:
- accelerate time-to-market for their products
- reduce costs and development risks
- facilitate rapid design exploration and optimization
- enhance product performance across various industries

More Than Technology - The Power of Community
Beyond technical content, the event provided valuable opportunities for networking and collaboration. Engineers, researchers, and simulation experts connected, exchanged ideas, and explored new opportunities for cooperation.
Strong Partner Support
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Arctur and ASBIS for their support and for providing hardware solutions for our partners, contributing to the overall success of the event.
Looking Ahead
Ansys Technology Day Slovenia 2026 once again highlighted the growing importance of simulation-driven engineering and the role of collaboration in shaping the future.
We would like to thank all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions, enthusiasm, and engagement.
We look forward to welcoming you again next year.
