We discuss the problem of cracks that appear in the industrial casting of Copper billets. In order to address this problem, we performed ANSYS/Fluent CFD simulations of the solidification process.

One of the main goals of the ACCUSIM project is accurate prediction of cavitation in water turbines, pumps and marine propellers. The results for a Francis turbine, obtained in the first two years of the project, will be presented at the conference.

The ANSYS simulation tools have been used at BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o., Nazarje since 2012. At first only CFD tool Fluent was used for simulating mixing of fluids by mixers produced in our factory in order to study the mixing process and improve certain characteristics.

Rimac Technology took the stage at the recent Ansys Tech Day in Zagreb with a presentation on EMC simulations using Ansys Electronics Desktop.
Their session, “EMC Simulations in Ansys Electronics Desktop”, showcased use cases:
- High Voltage to Low Voltage (HVLV) coupling on a PCB.
- Optimization of PCB layout for large currents.
- Field analysis in a battery pack.
