Job Summary
IT Systems and Integration Engineer based in Thessaloniki, will be responsible for configuration, administration, maintenance, and security of the company’s hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure, with additional focus on supporting advanced engineering systems such as SPDM and Material Platform databases, including their integration with third-party PLM systems.
Responsibilities
As an IT Systems and Integration Engineer, you will:
- Manage company hardware such as clusters, servers, and workstations, defining optimal configurations for new equipment.
- Regularly update systems and implement security policies for access (e.g., VPN, domain, firewall, antivirus).
- Expand AWS and Azure cloud access and ensure interconnection with onsite infrastructure.
- Configure High-Performance Computing (HPC) for internal users and offer HPC support to customers.
- Install, configure, and maintain Ansys platforms such as Granta MI and Minerva.
- Support the installation, deployment, and integration of Ansys platforms with third-party PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA).
- Develop and maintain APIs or middleware for seamless data transfer between Ansys systems and PLM solutions.
- Install and configure new servers and network devices.
- Resolve incidents promptly, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Develop policies and automations to ensure uninterrupted and secure operations.
- Manage licensing and support office tools (Azure, Microsoft, Adobe, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) as well as Jira Service Desk and project management tools.
- Lead ISO 27001 certification procedures.
- Support customers with Ansys installation, licensing, and HPC usage.
- Maintain backup-restore and UPS systems.
Desired Qualifications
A Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related university degree is required. Candidates should ideally have:
Required:
- At least 2 years of working experience in IT.
- Strong knowledge of MS Windows Server and Linux OS.
- Proficiency in SQL databases for managing data integrity and querying.
- Programming or scripting experience (Python, Java, Bash, .NET, etc.) to automate integration tasks and enhance system capabilities.
- Familiarity with API development and middleware tools.
- Web server setup and management experience.
Will be considered a plus:
- Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, CCNA).
- Familiarity with simulation platforms such as Ansys Minerva and Granta MI.
- Experience with Active Directory management.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and cybersecurity principles.
- Skills in integrating systems such as Granta MI and Minerva with third-party PLM platforms.
- Strong communication skills for sharing technical information with users, management, customers, and vendors.
